In May 2009 Dzogchen Beara was blessed with the visit of Orgyen Tobgyal Rinpoche.

During his 3-day visit Rinpoche visited and blessed Dechen Shying Spiritual Care Centre and helped advise on the future development at Dzogchen Beara - most importantly on the location and design of a future Temple.

After studying maps, the first day of the visit was spent walking the land at Dzogchen Beara.

	Rinpoche listened to all the ideas and research of the design team...
Confirming the Temple site
	...before confirming the site for the future temple – an area above the meditation garden.
Making a "footprint"
	While the architects worked on design changes the site team marked out the footprint of the future temple.
Fine tuning
	The next day, Rinpoche returned to bless the land.
The beginning
	Rinpoche gave a short teaching to mark the beginning of the project.

Celebration
	The Sangha celebrated by hoisting a Gesar flag, flying from a 9m wooden mast.
